Like most wargamers, over the years I have struggled with the issue of figure storage. We invest a great deal of time and money buying, preparing, painting and basing miniatures so need to store them in the best way possible taking in to account some of the following factors:
Space – Most of us, even if we have a dedicated wargames room have a finite amount of space to store figures and other gaming accessories.
Protection – We want to protect our figures from damage and dust.
Portability – We need to protect wargames figures from where they are stored to our wargames table, or take them with us to a friends house or the local wargames club.
Flexibility – Many collections include single based figures and figures in different scales.
I’ve spent a long time thinking about this and have come up with a storage system that I’m using for my own collection of single based 20mm & 28mm miniatures and smaller scale (6mm / 10mm & 15mm figures.
