The House at Dead Man's Corner

A couple of questions:

The external stairs had me a little confused. There aren't enough parts labeled 28. I think there are two parts labelled 25 for these stairs. Is that correct?

On the same stairs,, should there be a gap between the top step and the landing piece?

How do you position the interior stairs?

Where do the fireplaces go? Is there a specific place?

One basic tip - make sure you get the walls the right way round. They seem reversible but they aren't. Compare the walls to the cover sheets before assembling.

I got my two sides on the opposite sides, so they were the wrong way round..

External Staircase.
All off the parts are on Fret 307-E. When you look at it with the number at the top they are on the right hand side of the fret. Their are 7 x treads which are all the same and 7 risers, one of which is not quiet as tall. Their is a slight error in numbering, both 25 & 28 are external staircase risers.

Internal Staircase & Fireplaces.
As well as looking nice, the ground floor fireplaces also support the removable first floor. They need to be glued one on each end wall, as central as possible while avoiding the windows.
Once you have done this you can use the first floor to line up the staircase with the opening for it on the first floor.

Thanks for that. Is the smaller riser for the bottom step?

The smaller rise goes on the top step, between the top step and the platform.

On the external cover sheets, what are the pale strips next to the roof ridge (on sheets 4 and 5)?

The pale strips on the cover sheets for roofing tiles are coping stones to go on top of external walls. They are not needed for Dead Mans Corner.

Chris, is any way to do a rework of of the interior sheet downloads. 3 of the sheets don't work on letter only A4 (and you have to special order A4 the only cardstock available in the US is Letter) Sheet 2 only cuts the rugs in half so that is still usable but sheets 3 and 4 cut the bottom edge off of several walls. Maybe add a 5 sheet?

The small riser in the instruction booklet seems to be for the bottom step.
However it depends on the steps and which way they are put in - if they are used with a riser, so it goes up at the back of the step, then it works for the top step, however if the riser goes down at the front of each step, then it works for the bottom step... either way either top or bottom has a gap..

Also I would like to print out the internal wall sheets, when I met you ate Phalanx, I got the outer wall sheets but was told I could download the internals to print myself - where might I find these please?
