Muskets & Tomahawks II

Muskets & Tomahawks is the Black Powder Skirmish game designed by Studio Tomahawk, creators of SAGA. Redcoats & Tomahawks is the first supplement covering the French & Indian War, the American War of Independence and the War of 1812.

This Nickstarter pre-order program from North Star allows you to get the miniature figurines you need to join in the table-top campaign. North Star are producing the Official Muskets & Tomahawks  Miniature range to accompany the game. They are starting with the French & Indian War, and will then be expanding it to cover all future supplements.

Nickstarter is Northstars for the pre-order programs they run for new figures. It isn’t crowd-funding, the figures are made, everyone will get what they ordered in quick time after the end of the Nickstarter. If you order one or more of the deals, the amount you spend goes into the ‘Spend Total’ When that ‘Spend Total’ hits various goals, it releases free stuff and prizes for all qualifying participants. For example, if you buy a deal 2, your £46.00 will be added to the Spend Total, and when it hits £5,150, it releases a free Indian Chief with Heart for each customer, and so on. The Spend Goal rewards are limited to one per customer, not per deal bought.​

Muskets & Tomahawks II Muskets & Tomahawks is a set of rules for recreating skirmishes during the major wars of the 18th and 19th centuries. This “small war” is intrinsic to military campaigns and encompasses a huge variety of situations: reconnaissance missions, raids on enemy villages, attacks on convoys and outposts, and much more. Muskets & Tomahawks sees you lead a detachment of between twenty and over a hundred figures in thrilling and tactical battles. Centred on the card-based activation of different troop types, with innovative mechanics that recreate the chaos of these kinds of encounters, Muskets & Tomahawks lets you replay the great wars of the age of black powder: the French and Indian Wars, the American Revolution, Napoleon’s campaigns, the American Civil War, and the multitude of colonial conflicts fought by the empires of Europe. In this book you will find the core rules, as well as a set of special rules to recreate the peculiarities of the small war: spotting the enemy, hidden movement, the varying reactions of units with different doctrines, combat in unusual conditions, and officers’ ambitions and personal intrigues. Apart from this rulebook, you’ll only need the Muskets & Tomahawks supplement that covers the period you want to recreate to start playing your first games!
