For many years, on and off our weekly RPG group has enjoyed playing a game called ‘Project Dark Prometheus’, written and run for us by Alun Rees. The game is set in WW2 and our characters are all agents for a highly secret organisation called ‘The Office of His Majesty’s Pursuivants’ whose agents conduct ‘The Secret War’ against Germany and her allies Occult activities. The RPG game saw our agents active in Czechoslovakia prior to the outbreak of war and then Norway, Dunkirk, North Africa and Russia. Each scenario pitted us against an Axis plot to discover the lost secrets of Atlantis or to attempt to enmesh dark powers in the ongoing drama unfolding across the world.

Painting up a set of Wargames Atlantic Partisans gave me the idea that this setting would transfer really well to Pulp Alley for some tabletop miniatures gaming. The Partisans can easily be used as they are or modified with a few pieces from the bits box to make a set of wartime Pursuivant agents. Wargames Atlantic also have an excellent set of WW2 German Sentries and Lizardmen that could easily double up as Deep Ones. I’ve not picked up there new Pulp Zombies box, but from what I’ve seen that would also be useful for making ghouls / zombies and the results of other Nazi experiments.
I have designed a set of Pulp Alley Character Cards for Pursuivant Agents, Germans, Guard Dogs & Deep Ones. I will add additional adversaries as our campaign gets underway. You can click here to download the Free Character Cards. If you have not played Pulp Alley before, Click here to find out what it is all about. The page also includes links to download a free copy of the Pulp Alley introductory rules.
The Wargames Atlantic miniatures are available directly from Wargames Atlantic.
They are also available from Sally 4th (and you can pick up single sprues from us) and many other outlets.
