Guards of Traitors Toll

I’ve made a start assembling and painting the new miniatures for Guards of Traitors Toll. The new plastic sat from Wargames Atlantic, Fantasy Villagers has some fantastic pieces that allow for hundreds of different miniatures. The first models I have made are shown below. Assembling and painted them did remind me of some of the fantasy villagers and townsfolk that I have already painted, so I have decided to try to sort through my collection, photograph and show them here.

The wealthy lady in red and the elf flute player are made exclusively with parts from the Wargames Atlantic Villagers set. The lady in the green dress and apron is carrying an Amphora from the Wargames Atlantic Citizens of Rome set and the lady on the left with an owl has a body from the Fireforge Folk Rabble set and arms from the new Villagers set.

There were plenty of arms and heads left over after assembling six miniatures from a sprue so I decided to use some arms with the Citizens of Rome set, to make a fishmonger, villager with bunch of flowers and a villager with stick and sack.

Five miniatures from The Villagers, Washday Set. The City Guard from the Guards, Guard range are on there way to investigate a spate of laundry theft.

Some of the more wealthy townsfolk including The Spymaster, The Steward, Shortsword and the Young Lion. These are all plastic miniatures from Harlot’s Den range.

The figures on the big cobblestone base are from the Villagers – A night at the Tavern set. They can of course be mounted on individual bases. I made half a dozen big bases to use as ‘mobs’ and as terrain features.

The City Guard investigate some young ladies, possibly involved in illegal activity. Ladies from Harlot’s Den range.

Left to right: Angry wife with rolling pin from the ‘A night at the Tavern’ set, Money counter from ‘A Tavern Brawl set‘, Juggler and Musician from Dark Alleys and City Guard from Guards, Guards range.

Left to right: Beggar and Pieman from Dark Alleys and a farmer with a piglet from the Villagers – Milking Time at Dairy Set.

Left two ladies are from Harlots Den and right hand lady is from Dark Alleys – she’s actually listed as a Vampire Courtesan but I guess Vampire or not is all in the flesh tone used!

The first two miniatures on the left are from ‘The Wedding’ set, the old woman dispatching a chicken with an axe is from the ‘Poultry Yard’ set and the beggar on crutches is from ‘Dark Alleys’.

Butcher, Fishmonger and Mugger from Dark Alleys range.

The pack mule is from Dark Alleys and the Peasant with a sack is from Legends of Sherwood range.

Shire horse and Zigaran handler from Dark Alleys.

Skulking in the shadows, Rachal Wall from Swashbuckling Adventurers and a hound from Dark Alleys.

Some children at play from various ‘The Villagers’ sets.

The children playing leap frog are from the ‘Children at Play’ set, the other miniatures on the base are from ‘The Wedding’ and ‘Milking time at the Dairy sets.

Four of the miniatures from the Barroom brawl set from the Villagers range.
